The story behind the founder whose lifelong passion for Africa shaped the spirit of Moya Wild.
A journey into Africa
Her journey in the travel industry began in the late 1990s, working across a wide range of international destinations before her focus naturally gravitated toward Africa — a continent whose diversity, rhythm, and beauty would ultimately shape the future vision of Moya Wild.
Over the years, Tasha built extensive experience within leading travel companies, including time spent at a world-renowned luxury safari operator specialising in bespoke African journeys. Working closely with international travellers and high-end safari experiences allowed her to develop a deep understanding of luxury travel, seamless logistics, and the details that transform a journey into something truly unforgettable.
The emotional side of travel
But beyond itineraries and destinations, what has always mattered most to Tasha is the emotional side of travel — the moments of connection that happen around a campfire, on a game drive at sunrise, or during quiet evenings shared with family and friends beneath African skies.
Family remains at the heart of everything she does, and that philosophy shapes the way every Moya Wild journey is designed. Whether it’s a honeymoon, a multi-generational safari, or a once-in-a-lifetime celebration, her focus is always on creating experiences that allow people to slow down, reconnect, and share meaningful moments together.
From East Africa’s vast savannahs and Botswana’s remote waterways to Namibia’s dramatic desert landscapes and the idyllic islands of the Indian Ocean, Tasha has spent years helping travellers experience the extraordinary diversity of Africa in a way that feels personal, immersive, and deeply considered.
An extension of that philosophy
Moya Wild was ultimately created as an extension of that philosophy.
“Moya” means spirit — and for Tasha, that spirit represents travel that feels soulful, intentional, and connected to nature. A journey should never simply be about ticking destinations off a list. It should leave you with memories, perspective, and moments that stay with you long after you return home.
Today, her passion remains focused on crafting journeys that go beyond traditional safari travel — experiences inspired by the wild heart and spirit of Africa itself.
