Meet Stuart

With nearly four decades of professional experience and extensive travels across Africa and beyond, Stuart brings a deeply personal understanding of meaningful travel, exploration, and immersive safari experiences to Moya Wild.

Decades of travel, exploration, and wildlife experiences across Africa continue to shape the philosophy behind Moya Wild.

Early adventures across Africa

His journey began in the late 1980s while training as an accountant, travelling extensively throughout Southern Africa and becoming exposed to an extraordinary variety of landscapes, cultures, lodges, and wildlife experiences. Those early adventures sparked not only a lifelong passion for Africa, but also a deep appreciation for the way travel has the power to connect people to nature, place, and unforgettable moments.

As his corporate career expanded across the African continent, travel became far more than business. Frequent journeys throughout Africa, Europe, the United Kingdom, and the United States gradually evolved into a personal pursuit centred around exploration, photography, wildlife, and immersive cultural experiences.

Immersed in safari culture

Having spent time living in Nairobi, Stuart experienced life deeply immersed in safari culture while further developing his passion for wildlife photography and conservation-led travel.

Over the years, his travels have ranged from remote camping adventures and self-drive expeditions to some of Africa’s most exceptional luxury safari experiences. Many of the moments encountered along the way continue to shape the philosophy behind Moya Wild today — from witnessing the Great Migration crossing the Mara River to watching elephants move silently through the Zambezi with only their trunks visible above the water.

Other unforgettable experiences include tracking predators across the Greater Kruger, exploring the Okavango Delta, travelling through Namibia’s dramatic desert landscapes, visiting Lake Turkana, experiencing Victoria Falls, and witnessing the remarkable diversity of East and Southern Africa’s wildlife and cultures.

Beyond Africa, Stuart’s travels throughout France, Italy, the United Kingdom, and the United States continue to influence the broader long-term vision for Moya Wild — one rooted in thoughtful travel, exceptional experiences, and genuine human connection.

A natural step into Moya Wild

When Tasha founded Moya Wild, joining the business felt like a natural step. The opportunity to help build a boutique safari company focused on tailor-made journeys and meaningful travel aligned perfectly with his lifelong passion for exploration and immersive experiences.

Today, Stuart remains deeply passionate about creating journeys that feel seamless, personal, and unforgettable — experiences designed not simply to showcase destinations, but to create lasting memories and meaningful connection through travel.
