Almost Three Decades of Crafting Experiences Across Africa

With almost three decades in the travel industry, crafting experiences across Africa and beyond, I felt inspired to create something deeply personal — and that’s how Moya Wild was born.

My career began in the late 90s, working across a wide range of international destinations before my passion naturally shifted toward Africa.

Over the years, I gained extensive experience at leading travel companies, including time at a world-renowned luxury safari operator where I specialised in designing bespoke, high-end African itineraries and managing key international accounts.

This experience allowed me to develop a deep understanding of luxury travel, seamless logistics, and what transforms a good safari into an unforgettable one.

Throughout my career, I’ve focused on creating thoughtful, personalised experiences — blending iconic destinations with lesser-known gems, and balancing comfort with authentic, immersive moments.

From East Africa’s vast savannahs to Namibia’s dramatic deserts, Botswana’s remote waterways, and the Indian Ocean’s idyllic islands, I’ve had the privilege of helping travellers connect with the extraordinary diversity of Africa.

Family is at the heart of everything I do. I am deeply connected to my own family, and I believe travel creates some of life’s most meaningful shared memories.

This philosophy shapes the way I design every experience — whether it’s a multi-generational safari, a special celebration, or simply time away together.

My aim is to create experiences that allow families, couples, and friends to slow down, reconnect, and share unforgettable moments in nature.

Moya Wild was created to bring this experience together in a more intentional and soulful way — travel that is immersive, meaningful, and connected to nature.

My goal is to go beyond traditional safari itineraries, crafting experiences that feel personal, authentic, and truly memorable.

With decades of professional experience and extensive travels across Africa and beyond, Stuart brings a deeply personal understanding of meaningful travel, immersive experiences, and the spirit of exploration that sits at the heart of Moya Wild.

His connection to Africa began in the late 1980s while travelling extensively throughout Southern Africa during his early professional years. What started as travel quickly became something far deeper — a lifelong appreciation for Africa’s landscapes, wildlife, cultures, and the unforgettable moments that only meaningful journeys can create.

Over the years, Stuart’s career took him across the African continent and internationally to Europe, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Alongside this, travel evolved into a personal passion centred around wildlife, photography, conservation, and immersive cultural experiences.

Having spent time living in Nairobi, Stuart experienced life deeply connected to East Africa’s safari culture, further shaping his passion for conservation-led travel and authentic wilderness experiences.

His travels have ranged from remote self-drive adventures and camping expeditions to some of Africa’s most exceptional luxury safari experiences. From witnessing the Great Migration crossing the Mara River to watching elephants move silently through the Zambezi at sunset, many of these moments helped shape the philosophy behind Moya Wild.

Exploring the Okavango Delta, Namibia’s desert landscapes, the Greater Kruger, Victoria Falls, the Rift Valley lakes, and the diverse wildlife regions of East and Southern Africa has given Stuart a broad and deeply personal perspective on what makes a journey truly unforgettable.

When Tasha founded Moya Wild, joining the business felt like a natural extension of a lifelong passion for travel and Africa itself — helping create thoughtfully curated journeys that feel immersive, seamless, personal, and memorable.

Today, Stuart remains passionate about crafting journeys that go beyond destinations alone — experiences designed to create genuine connection, lasting memories, and a deeper sense of place.
